Ms. Dawn E. Freeman is an atypical visionary Community Engagement Leader. In 2016, she made a major shift in her career path to focus on assisting families that have loved ones that are involved with the Criminal Justice System. Operating with the spirit of creating boots-on-the ground movement, Dawn sought ways to provide justice involved individuals with higher quality programming and technology tools. Ms. Freeman performed a significant amount of due diligence to understand the brevity and capacity of the services that existed within confinement facilities and in the community, domestically and internationally. On June 5, 2017, the non-profit organization was incorporated, and it is the official wedding date of her personal journey and professional experience.

The first two decades of her career focused on providing impeccable support services to C-Suite Executives in multiple industries and departments. Ms. Freeman’s exceptional work ethic and attention to detail led to numerous promotions to and within mid-level management and her subsequent selection into Executive Leadership in 2011. With formal and real world experience in the areas for Accounting, Finance, RFP and Contract Management, Process and Project Management, Software Implementation; Dawn has a well-versed business acumen and perspective that is not biased towards one focus area vs. another.

 

Determination and empathy is what makes Ms. Freeman an inspiration to those she interacts with on multiple levels. Dawn openly shares her life’s journey with others who may find themselves in the pits of despair. She encourages them that if they do the necessary work and stay on the right path they can accomplish and overcome anything that life sends their way. 

Dawn holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration with an Accounting specialization and B.A. in Business Administration with a specialization in Management from Saint Leo University.  She is the mother of three children and a product of a military and faith-based upbringing.
